Default Looking for lighter wheels

any good/bad experiences?

I am looking at the new Turbo II wheel which Porsche makes for narrow body cars sizes as well and is forged. anybody knows how much they weight?

I am also considering Dymag but am a bit concerned after reading various posts on several failures.

Any feedback would be welcome

I found the following weights for "forged Porsche Turbo wheels", but it didn't specifically say "Turbo II" wheels. I'm aware that there are both Turbo and Turbo II wheels, but didn't know there were forged versions of both. The weights below seem kind of porky for forged.

8.5X19" = 23# 8 oz.
11X19" = 27# 14 oz.

Champion Motorsports. Beautiful wheels and lighter than anything Porsche makes.

Since you are in Europe, I think your best option is to get the authentic Forged Otto Fuchs wheels!

I am confused now.

Which one is the real Fuchs company

http://www.fuchsfelge.de/index.php?id=195

or

http://fuchsperformance.com/

they both seem to be the original fuchs design but i am not sure which one is the same company?

What do we know about their quality and characteristics?
the fuchsfelge site is in german so i cant understand much...

I was quite confused too... The first one is the original!

The second one is an American tuner shop, who somehow got the naming rights, as Otto Fuchs didn't register their name in the US (only in Europe). To me that's just wrong... but somehow they could get away with it...

Since you're in EU, I'd definitely get the REAL Fuchs forged wheels from Germany! They have the history behind them (original Fushs wheels) and are OEM manufacturers for many Germany cars, and/or tuners. They also make the Porsche OEM Forged Turbo wheels.

PS. Use Google or Bing translator to translate the page. The original Fuchs website has an English version too (http://www.otto-fuchs.com/index.php?id=108&L=1, but for some reason the wheels page (your link) only shows up in German.

PS2. Another link http://www.fuchsfelge.de/index.php?id=5&L=1

Edgy, you wouldn't happen to know TE37 weights for 18" would you?

I did a search for wheel weights and found this link:

http://members.rennlist.com/911pcars/wheelwts.html

I realize that they are for earlier cars, but if the size is about the same (e.g., the Sport Classic II for the 993 is the same width as the 996--not assuming the offset is the same)...you can probably extrapolate within reasonable levels of error.
