Default Sounds like an aquarium pump

Ignition on or off there is a buzzing/vibration sound like an aquarium pump coming from somewhere around the passenger seat. I disconnected the battery to stop it until I can get to service later this week. Any ideas?

Do you have seats with adjustable lumbar support? Does the lumbar use an inflatable bladder? If so, and there's a leak, maybe the pump is working overtime to fill it. Just a thought. Edit: Now that I think about it, doesn't seem likely this would be happening with the iginition off.....

You sure it's coming from the passenger seat? Otherwise it could be defective CD mechanism in the PCM?

No air bladder in the seats.

Not coming from the dash or speakers as best I can tell. Happens when the key is off. Only way to stop it is to disconnect the battery. I do not hear it from the engine compartment. Coming from somewhere in the passenger compartment.

PCM will draw a current when car is parked and key is out. That's why it might be making noise. Would be nice if that were your problem. Get a screw driver and push the handle semi-tightly against your ear. Touch the tip against suspected noise maker, you will hear it thru the handle that's pressed against your ear. It's like a stethoscope that way. Good luck.

I hear the CD in my PCM spin up for a couple of seconds after I take the key out of the ignition, but that doesn't sound like a pump.
