For some strange reason, the hinge on the gas filler door on my 2007 Targa 4 has become very loose. I'm the only one who puts gas in the car and I never force the door back. Can anyone help with the correct way to replace this hinge?? There is a long pin which appears to hold it on. I have ordered a replacement and it should be in next week..

Mine was replaced under warranty earlier this year. Sounds like a design issue as I'm not hard on my gas cap....

Thanks mrzoop and Tone.. Looks like there is a problem.. I called my dealer this afternoon to find out if the hinge has arrived but they said it's coming from Germany and may take another week or so.. I'll see if they will replace it under warranty. The door is very loose and when I lock the doors, the pin which locks the gas door makes a loud bang.. Will keep you all posted.. Thanks again..
