Default rear center console

Hi Vince,
My 997.2 C2S is the same color as yours with sand beige. I installed a painted (racing green) pdk surround a few months ago and really happy with the way it looks. I just order a painted rear center console from Bumper Plugs. I will post some photos after I install it.

Kewl man! Can't wait to see em! Speaking of the PDK surround. Is it easy to remove and replace? I was thinking of doing that too, but was wondering how to remove the PDK shifter. Do you have a DIY step by step instruction posted?

Pointing the tips of the crests to the valve stem is for the **** concours folks and worth points in some cases. Your cars came from the factory that way just in case you wondered. I didn't believe it myself until I checked when in Zuffenhausen.

That's gonna be a $1000 "Jepardy" question some day. We better memorize it.

Thanks for the FYI, Jim! I just finished pointing the crest tips towards the valve stems! Hehehe.

Not so bad - look on MaCarbon website for great instructions for getting into it - they show replacing CC which includes the shift surround. Their instructions are golden - use tape and trim tools as they instruct and labeling the screws is a good tip too.

For PDK shifter removal details, look here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...de-done-2.html

Thanks man! I just finished ordering a several more things from Suncoast: Silver lower side mirror arms, Silver front grills, Stainless steel illuminated door sills, and silver gas cap. Whew! I'll be busy for the next couple weeks! I'll post pics as they get done.

how do those lights illuminate? blinkers red or orange, how do the euro lights illuminate?

looks nice, but those license plate holders I don't know about, if you had a moderate impact, it would send all that force to the frame, instead of letting the plastic bumper do its job. Kinda like leaving the tow hook in all the time.

The side marker lights illuminate yellow. The LED tail lights look white, but are actually RED when triggered. Pretty kewl actually.

I attached rubber pads behind the license plate corners, so in case they get bumped, they won't leave a nasty mark. Oh, I also have the front bumper clear bra'd with Ventureshield.

Vinny - that is bad news as I too was thinking about changing out my black front grills for the alum ones...my CS2 is triple black and I'm trying to cut up the black a bit! Post if you do it and good luck

Hey HotLap. I found a thread from here that details the removal of the front bumper. I also was contacted by Ryan from Suncoast regarding including bumper removal instructions with the grills that I ordered from them. Here is a copy of the link of the post about removing the front bumper:
