Default Fair price for this 07 C2S?

Hi Everyone,

I am looking at my first Porsche and saw one in my area that looks interesting:

Black/Black 2007 C2S, CPO
11k miles

* Bose High End Sound Package
* Floor Mats w/ Colored Trim
* Heated Seats
* Insturment dials in black
* Navigation For PCM
* Sport Chrono Package Plus
* Wheels: 19" Carrera Classic

The dealer is asking 64, how low could I go on this one? Ideally I'd like to end up around 60.

Thanks!

I think that is fairly reasonable considering it has CPO.

Drop that fair thinking. Fair's got nothing to do with car price. Has anyone every encountered a seller who lowered his price cause a higher price was "unfair".

Visit www.autotrader.com and see how many similar cars are for sale and what the asking price is to get some kind of a feel for the market.

Visit www.kbb.com and get estimate of car's price at retail, private sale and trade-in.

If the numbers suggest $60K in the realm of possibility make serious (and it has to be a "serious") offer of $60K. Remember you can always go up, though you shouldn't go up too much and you shouldn't go up too often and each time you go up you go up by less.

If you think $61K your price, start at $60K, then when offer rejected (and it will be almost certainly rejected) you can up offer by $500 but take some time to do so. Excuse yourself. Walk outside out of earshot and call someone on your cell phone and talk for 10 minutes or so. Come back in after and look at your notes, punch some numbers into your calculator, make some scribbles on your note pad, then up your offer. If this offer rejected and it probably will be, take 30 minutes and up offer by $250. If this offer rejected, offer $100 and indicate that you are prepared to leave. Even before you get answer start collecting your things, and preparing to leave, walk out.

Unless dealer has given its target price of say $61K. Then you can offer to split the difference between $60.750K and $61K.

Just one out of many possible scenarios.

Remember: Price is not a fact only an opinion.

And there's always another car.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Default 07 C2S

Hello
Just thought this might shed some light on what you are thinking, as I went through a similar process Feb 2009:

CPO '07 C2 S Meteor gray with black partial leather.
15700 miles
Aftermarket installed pioneer AVIC Z3 (bluetooth, nav, CD/DVD, sat radio)
Bose system (not so good)
Heated seats
Lobster fork wheels

55k + tax

Just thought it might help, but buying a used car is a PITA, so be prepared.
Take care,
Jonathan

What area are you in? Because if you are in S. Cali my 2007 S blk/blk w/14k miles is sitting pretty at the dealer. I traded it in for a 2009 4S, but I miss the 07 cause it had the sport exhaust. Good luck in your search.

Thanks for the feedback guys. This is good stuff. If i could get this for 55k or so, I'd be really happy. I guess I should come armed with KBB and NADA info!
