Did they drop a GT3 engine into it, and a GT3 tranny?

Personally, I think one should avoid buying Frankenstein Porsches (we have another name for them in Germany). You will spend a lot for a poser. Prices are going down. Just buy a real one and be done with it.

What you've got there is a car that's worth less than a factory stock 2005 Carrera S.

I would never buy a "kit" car as others have said...sounds like its rigged with bubblegum and paperclips, so a headache waiting to happen for you. Plus, there's usually only one "sucker" in a deal like this...if you buy it, odds are that you will be stuck with it for life (or will take it in the shorts when you go to unload it).

You need a GT2 to get yourself far enough away from this "GT3". I wouldn't go near it.

That car falls under the "greater fool theory." You'll be hard pressed years from now to find someone dumber than you to buy it off you.

I think it would be embarrassing to drive a fake car. it's not a GT3RS but screams RS all over it with $200 worth of decals. I would imagine that if you dig enough on that car you'll find out that something happened to that car, which led to the extensive modifications. No one routinely does that to a car without something driving it,--like an accident.

Are you looking to buy it? Or are you just finding a way to post your car for sale on Rennlist without paying?

I agree with everyone else. It's like buying a white shirt, going home, and dyeing it another; it will never look right, everyone will know, and you'll just look dumb. Had that been a GT3 that someone managed to fit an auto transmission to, that would be one thing, but to take a C2S and, with some touches of paint, a spoiler, and a couple of decals, declare it is a GT3, is ridiculous. Imagine trying to list that for sale and just how sketchy it would sound.

If you really like the car and price, just buy it and take all the GT3 decals off....then your left with a nice looking car that is not as much as a poser
