Booster Seats
Thanks to all rennlisters for all the information you have shared through these forums helping me to become the new owner of an 09 C2. I have read through all the past posts on booster seats and still cannot safely come to a conclusion as to which will fit. It appears the 2 best booster seats were the fisher price and the britax monarch--both of which have been discontinued. I have a 5 and a 3 year old who can't wait to ride in "Daddys race car". Please help! None of the booster seats available at Target/Babiesrus fit in the car. Thanks again rennlisters. Oh and I can't wait each morning to drive this DD each day to work...:)

You are right. They are hard to find, so I bought some extra Fisher Price Safe Voyage booster seats when shopping for mine. They work very well. PM me if you are interested.
BTW - Congrats!! |
I use Recaro and Britax booster seats. It's a tight fit but it works fine. We had a Graco booster and the base was too square.
Just buy one and try it. If it doesn't work then return it. Most stores I've dealt with are patient. |
For the 5 year old you may want to try the Combi Dakota. I purchased one for my 5 year old Grandson and it works great. It fits perfectly in the back seat of the 997 because the Combi base is tapered. It was around $35 at Amazon, but it is a "booster", not a full car seat.

I have the Porsche seat for my 4 y/o and it is a perfect fit. I have used others along the way. Best is to get to a large baby superstore (e.g. Babies R Us) if possible, and then see if they will allow you to carry out display models to see what fits. Having a narrow base is the key.

+1 on Combi Dakota - fits great in back seat. Most seats are too wide and don't sit correctly. It is a booster only though (no back).

Another one for the Combi Dakota.

Booster Seats
Thanks for all the replys
I went to the superstores and none of the seats were small enough to really fit all the way back into the seatwell. Will post once I have found something that fits. Thanks again all. Any advice on getting through this under 4200RPM break in period? 4200 is right where the torque curve starts to get fat. Dont think the engineers could have picked a tougher rev to go up to but not over. |
Back seat removal?
Does it make it easier to fit a booster with a back if the backseat cushion is taken out?
I heard the Recaro Viva should fit |

This topic comes up periodically. These Grayco's are quite nice,--particularly with a Cabriolet.

remove the seat backs and use the porsche junior seats - the fit nicely in the base and the removal of the backs gives the kids more leg room.
|
I have a Recaro Vivo and it fits great. I too searched forever until I found one that fit. I ordered mine from amazon.com because I couldn't find one locally.
|
Second the Recaro VIVO purschased it on line at babystrollars.com. Fits in the back of the 911 perfectly for my 3 year old.
