How much to park in the front row in Vegas?
 

Going on a weekend trip to Las Vegas. Looking forward to exercising the car on 15. When I get there, I would like to tip the valet to park in the front row. Any suggestions on how much I should tip? I don't want to insult the valets and at the same time not overpay.

Why park at the "front row"?? So much traffic (foot traffic and car traffic). I avoid parking my car anywhere near there.

i just love having my car leaned and puked on.. LOL

the parking garages are more than likely half empty... park on your own floor away from everyone with security cameras and a shorter walk to the elevator ;-) unless again you like longer walks, scratches from the buttons on peoples pants, and the occasional ding and puke.

Go buy a bling car and some gold chains if you want to park on the front row

i even laugh at the guy that parks his murci and phantom in the front row.. i would like to say id stick up for a fellow 997 owner.. but i would still laugh.. now if your parking in front of "THE MANSION @ MGM"... i will take back everything i said, and you dont have to pay a dime EXTRA to park in front..

With all the damage that can be done in about 1 minute by a "valet" you will be miles and money ahead to park it yourself. I even parked by car at Villa D'este on Lake Como and the valet never looked down his nose at me once. (He had plenty of Ferraris (Fiat) and Bentleys (VW) to drive into the subterranean garage!) I got to even pick my own spot!

Villa D'este is a beautiful hotel, it must have been fun to have your 911 in Italy's Northern lakes region.

At the nearby mall, I more often see huge black SUVs with ugly chrome tires unloading people who would benefit from additional walking utilizing the valet. My Porsche is self-parked far away from cars and people.

+4....never park in front and keep the valets with the pens in their back pockets or the tranny grinding ding-bat or the clueless door dinger out of my car.

I can't remember where but there was a thread where a RL member had his car stolen from the parking garage of a LV casino.

This is the thread and maybe why he asked about front row. I would feel safe self parking as other have suggested.

A well-trained valet at a luxury spot should be fine in your car.
Some of those guys make a *lot* of money on tips.

I wouldn't pay extra for up-front -- but why not just ask the guy if he can park it up front?

id much rather have the car completely gone than have scratches on my seats and paint..

Just dont go to the Red Rock casino. Thats where the GT3 was stolen last week or so.

Here is what you do. Drive your 911 to Vegas THEN BACK TO LA. Then get your Old BMW and drive
it back to Vegas and park wherever.

Old Guy naaa here is what you do.... Sounds like you want to be showy, so buy some of those really huge gold chains wear those with designer sunglasses with huge labels on the temples and your shirt unbuttoned down pretty far and make sure you have a huge wad of singles with a 100 dollar bill on top in your right hand be really loud so everyone sees you pull up and get out then peel 5 singles off the bottom as you show everyone the top bill in the fold and slap em in the hand of the valet and announce that there is a lot more where that came from when you're done kicking the houses azz.

Realize that in the end it’s only a car, a nice car which we all love but only a car and park it yourself away from other cars and know that you have insurance and anything can be fixed or replaced. Then go enjoy your night.

Man I hate the 15, I rent a car when ever I go to Vegas. Bunch of drunks and trucks on the 15 and a ton of accidents. Not to mention the road debris thats on that road all the time.

I use to be a doorman and at a minimum a $20 should secure you a spot up front for maybe an hr., if its all day I would hit him up with a $50.

I live here and recommend self parking. I've not had any problems with self parking and have parked my Porsche at most of the casinos in town.

Everyone may be concerned about parking in casino lots after the incident with Greg's car at Red Rock Casino, but that is a rare event and getting a lot of attention. Casinos don't like negative attention. I park my car at Red Rock several times a year and will continue to do so if I need to go there. I bet more cars are stolen from mall/hospital/grocery store parking lots without all of the fanfare. (Full disclosure: my car is not a yellow GT3)

I agree with other posters that a lot of foot traffic will pass by your car if you park in the front and you may find a few new scratches for your bling bling spot in the front.

those guys are used to parking high end italian stuff up front. since it's just a 911 they may or may not have space for it. if it's not busy they'll probably do it for you

if it's parked up front, make sure you leave some flyers under the wipers with all the specs, like people do at car shows. you know, the paint color, the interior material, the rims sizes, maybe some horsepower and torque figures. plus a couple of glamor shots of the car. you don't want this opportunity of parking your car in front of a casino to go to waste, you might even get an HJ or some booger-sugar comped.

I was a well-paid valet in college, and based on that experience, I always try to self-park whenever possible. If something happens to the car and you don't notice it until after you've left the casino, good luck trying to prove any kind of liability on their part for the damages.

Just be nice to the valet.. Once I got mine parked on the front roll at the Forum shop by buying the Valet a bottle of ice water. Beside, I don't think there aren't much casino park public cars in front of the valet. The only one I know is Paris LV. Got to be show them the VIP card to tempoary park it there. WYNN will also park it tempoary and only at the Tower entrance side, no tip required, but ten is suffice. At the Gentlemans clubs, $20 will get it park if it's not full.

Just finished reading the thread on the yellow GT3, if the car is parked by a valet and it's stolen. Will the casino reimburse it? Good and bad of having a valet park your car.

I agree that you should make the most out of it. Take as many pics as you can with the hired help and make sure your jewelry matches your wheel color. Such as gold wheels = gold chain and cuff links, etc. I would post these pics on your facebook account. Also, I saw a BMW the other day that had a license plate that said “80k”, which is brilliant. You may want to look into that in case some people aren’t sure what your car cost.
