Turbo Wheels on a 997 S

Does anyone know if Turbo wheels can be used on a 997 S ? If wheel spacers are required what sizes are needed ? Thanks...

Yes on a C4, no spacers required.

Should have mentioned its a 997 C2 S, sorry !!!

Porsche manufactures a turbo wheel for the C2 cars and you'll find it's offset (rear) is different. If you order a Carrera S with that style wheel the correct offset wheel will appear on the car. If you are buying take offs from a 997TT you will not get the same wheel.

The wheels being offered are take-offs from a Turbo.......so what's needed to get them to fit?

Call up Wheel Enhancement and they can give you that answer immediately. I haven't played around with the virtues of narrow body vice wide body offsets to give you that answer.

turbo wheels are not really attractive...even on a turbo....but hey, they're on a Turbo!! Everything looks good on a turbo. On a 997S, IMHO, it makes you look like a "poser"

I think they look good on the Turbo, but they only belong on a Turbo, and agree that only a "poser" would put them on a Carrera.

That was harsh and to the point. Let me just say that some of us might not agree with you.

Ok I will admit I didn't like them at first but when the car you buy already has them installed you get used to it and start to like them, I think.

I agree. The turbo wheel looks like something you would find on a Pontiac.

The Carrera Classic is a more attractive wheel. IMHO.

i hate em on non turbo.. dont really like on turbo but worse on non.

Nothing, I have them on my car, no problems with them at all, and the extra rubber in the rear helps if you like to carve corners, w/o traction control.

OEM turbo wheels on the front are the same for C2 and C4 - for the rear if you're using the widebody offset, they will stick out 15mm or so more than the stock wheels.

Thanks for that information, most appreciated...

My least favorite 997 wheel without a doubt.
I agree with the Pontiac comment.
