I have to say that I have never been close to a hurricane,--thankfully. Been through tornadoes (F3-F5) and through Nor-Easters (including the infamous "Perfect Storm" in October of 1991). We get rather jaded here when it dips to the 40s and people start to freak out!

Beautiful pic dan! Do you live on the mesa? I spent a year in i.v. between undergrad and med school, was probably the best year of my life. Waited tables at a seafood restaurant on the corner of state and castillo. I still miss the central coast very much but h-town ain't too shabby.

Oh, the noreaster of 1991. I remember that well. I was in high school in Vermont and got stuck at my girlfriends house. That was FUN!.
