Default 19" Snow tires IN a 997 coupe

I'm wondering if people have squeezed all 4 19" factory sized snow tires in their 997 coupe.

If so, how ? i.e rear 2 tires on front seat, etc ?

I'm trying to figure out how to get them to the tire shop without damaging the inside of my car, and without having to make 2 trips

I wasn't willing to shove the wheels/tires inside my car, so I opted to buy a second set of wheels with mounted snow tires. I now just swap them at home without any issues.

If you don't come up with a solution to get the wheels/tires inside the car, you might want to find a place that is willing to store your tires/wheels during the off-season--something some local high end shops are willing to do.

I don't believe they will fix. Tried with 1 295/35 x 19 tire, and it was too much tire, not enough interior space. You can get two rears in the car, one in the back seat, and one in the front passenger seat. But all 4 is a bit more of an effort. They take up the full width of a F350 pickup bed, so my first years solution was to drive the tires to the dealer, then drive the Porsche. Another option would be a trailer hitch and a small trailer (several owners do this for AutoX).

After one year of swapping tires on rims, I picked up an extra set of tires/rims. Now just swap at home.

Thanks guys --

I bought some Michelin "tire carrier" covers the other day. They are like a cloth donut shaed cover with elastic on them and you wrap them around the tire to keep from scratching the interior of your car.

I wonder if I fold the rear eats down, if 2 rears will fit back there, and say two fronts on the front seat ?

does not fit, I have tried. I leave my snow tires and wheels at the dealer, he stores them and twice a year I drive there and wait while the wheels are changed. Gives me a chance to see new cars in the show room and shoot the bull with the sales staff

Guys,--there are these things called "your other car/truck" that fall into that category...

If you don't have a second set of wheels, simply put the 997 on a set of jack stands and take the rims and winter tires to your local tire shop...

Why would you run the risk of damaging the interior to do that??? Two front wheels on the front seat?
It clearly not possible in a reasonable sort ofway. Esp with 19" wheels/tires they are huge!!
