Looks great! Glad to hear holding up - I just got my cocoa. I'm in Texas, so some heat extremes but not much cold. Mine is a cab, so hoping will hold up to open air exposure as well. How often with the Zaino?
|
It looks like you're doing the right thing. How often do you treat it?
|
Cocoa would be my #1 choice. Glad to hear it holds up well!

Looks great.
Is cocoa one of Porsche's "natural" leathers? |
Cocoa is still not one of their "natural" leathers. I believe only the Brown, Carrerra Red and Grey are naturals at this point in time.
|
Mine's 2 now and looks as good as new - love the colour.
|
I treat the roofliner, rear seats, sunvisors and other "non contact" areas about every 3 months, the seats, doors and dash about every 2 months. Zaino is so easy to use, --just pour on and spread, no rubbing, no buffing, no wiping dry,-- that it is never a hassle to use

I asked because I had read that Zaino isn't the best product for the natural leather and the OP's interior looks to be in excellent shape. |
That headliner is absolutely beautiful. Whatever it cost was worth it. I will specify that on my next 911.

Take it from someone responsible (indirectly) for sending countless cattle to their deaths...a lot of leather can really MAKE a Porsche that more special. I've owned the stripped Porsches (911s as well) with no leather whatsoever,--and I happen to appreciate the leather craftsmen that they have in Zuffenhausen. I wish I could have afforded even more leather. For a coupe, having it in the headliner is great!

I'm surprised you like the Zaino conditioner. I have it but feel it ads shine. These days i prefer the Sonus leather conditioner (no shine) - has anyone tried it?

In the past I used Zaino Z-10 on my Porsche, but after trying the Sonus I switched. There are a few differences, but mostly I find the smell to more closely resemble the new Porsche leather scent. I still like Zaino, but only use it on my non-Porsche vehicles.

interesting, I find no shine at all after it dries, what color interior do you have?

I use Sonus and love it. I have cashmere supple leather interior in my '98 993.
|
I have used Zaino on my BMW and it did smell good and went on smooth. However, it made my seats sort of slippery and with a "squeaky clean" sound when you shifted in your seat. I read the recommendations of Sonus on this forum a year ago and tried it - doesn't smell as nice but provides an absoutely supple feel with a matte appearance.
Does Zaino feel slippery or make squeaky clean sounds for you? Maybe it is just BMW leather? |
Cocoa is a great Porsche leather. I too like the Zaino Z10 product. Very easy and great results. The leather care products from www.colorplus.com are top notch too.
|
My Cocoa is 3+ years old now and is holding up very well. Gotta love Cocoa. I wish my center console/arm rest was full leather like yours, it looks great!.
|
UPDATE: Porsche offers a Natural Leather Cocoa now. it's significantly different that the previous Cocoa.

If you would, I'd appreciate a couple of photos of the backs of the seats. I have Cocoa in a cab and the only concern is the leather on the seat backs is a bit looser than I've seen on other cars. |

Looks great. Nice job on maintenance. Cocoa is the nicest in my view but I'm biased as I have it as well.
