You think you've got a problem............?

Mine doesn't use any oil AND has the temerity to cling resolutely to the SAME SET of brake-pads and discs since the car was new!

It's a disgrace, I tell you.....Porsche should be ashamed. 24,000miles one one set of pads/discs.

Who would've thought, huh?

(There's a guy at my gym has touched 29,000miles on the original set.)

No oil yet at 6200km, assertive street driving and low gear acceleration on the highways.

If you "clean" your discs, calipers and pads regularly with WD40 I've heard you can get over 100,000 miles from the discs and pads (and it stops pad squeal too).....

Hey, thanks Jeff - I'll give that a whirl tomorrow.

Funnily enough my wife told me last year she'd heard much the same but, y'know, call me an old cynic but I didn't believe her! Just goes to show my beloved is a lot smarter car-wise than I'd thought.......

Yes, your brake pads will last a long time. Your front bumper?....not so much.

Mine has been burning gas since day 1 at a rate of about 1 gallon every 13 miles. The only thing that saves it is when I drive on the highway and then it burns about 1 gallon every 25 miles.

You are carrying way too much life insurance.

Keep monitoring it closely. Perhaps it will do as mine did,--and drop consumption dramatically at about 50,000 kilometers.
