Default Please read NOW – This post is about YOU.

Over the next 72 hours, This Forum server (forums.rennlist.com) and the adjunct sites (Member Upload, Attachments, etc…) will be moved to servers and circuits owned by the new owners of Rennlist – Internet Brands. For that:

Please copy and paste this post - in case you have any difficulties – but, here is the short version of what will happen. First – as you may have noticed, the circuits in the last 24 hours have been pretty busy coming into this site. That’s because we have many GB of data to move across (which is happening as you read this!).

Second – we will change IP addresses for this Forum – and when that happens – you may see for a few hours, that this site is “closed” with a redirect to the new IP. If you see that – hang on – your DNS Servers are refreshing to catch the new servers/circuits – in a bit – you will be able to access the Rennlist Forums as you do now;

Third – IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE – please e-mail me at admin@rennlist.com and I.B. and I will push a refresh if your issue is not resolved in a few hours;

Fourth – the Frequently asked questions:
  • Yes – Jen and I will be on Rennlist during the transition;
  • No – Rennlist Memberships will not be affected;
  • Yes – the Rennlist Forums and the five million plus posts will stay intact;
  • No – there are NO OTHER RENNLIST SITES OR SERVERS AFFECTED AT THIS TIME (such as the Rennlist e-mail accounts, Classifieds, E-mail discussion lists, Galleries, Registries, Tech Sites, Member sites, etc., etc. are back here in NH for now.

On a personal note – this May 2008 – Rennlist comes into its eleventh year of operation. This is the first time ever a server, circuit, router, gateway – whatever – has NOT sat about three feet from where Jen & I live or work. And for that – this is as big a change for us – as it is for you. Since 1998 – I could always walk over and “kick start” a server – literally.

What are we working on now? Just this…. And with all of you – neither Rennlist nor Projects like this would have happened…

My best to all,

John D.

You and Jen have created a PHENOMENAL place for us all to play.
Your efforts in Haiti are even more extraordinary.
THANK YOU again!

All the best John and Jen. Rennwish is blessed to have your guidance and commitment, just like we, as a Porsche community, have been to have you both at the helm. Godspeed in your endeavors.

Be well, be safe. Thanks.

Hey Dave and Eric...!

My thanks... But honestly? Rennlist has always been - and will be - about folks who just love their P'cars.. You two guys epitomize that... And frankly - Jen nor I could have never - or would have never - done it without folks just like you two...

John & Jen, I think this is a wonderful venture and I wish you well in what will no doubt be a rewarding but at times frustrating adventure.

In many ways I'm sure it mirrors the yin and yang of Porsche ownership: we're immensely fortunate that our accomplishments have provided us with the wherewithal to afford these wonderful cars, yet the gulf between our good fortune and others misfortune often seems insurmountable. This venture will hopefully close the gap a little.

John and Jen,

Thanks for providing an environment where new Porsche owners and old Porsche owners, can converse without feeling out of place. IMO you and the others you have helping, have done a masterful job in maintaining a free flow of thoughts from the many visitors, as well as allowing Porsche owners to discuss matters important to them. Kudos.

Again, thanks for everyone's efforts, all the best in your future endeavors.

Cheers
