Default Are 997's wide hips available on C2 S or just C4 S?

I'm currently selling my 27,500 mile 996 black/black tiptronic for a 2008 997 Carrera or Carrera S. Are the 997's wide hips available on C2 S or just C4 S?

I just drove the 997 at a Beverly Hills Porsche, and the interior seems to be wider than my 996. Are 997 width really wider than 996?

Cheers

The 997 is "cut" differently than 996, so on a C2 or C2S, the rear looks wider. But the 997 4's actually are wider than C2 / C2S.

I wonder if you can order a 997 C4S widebody with a C2S transmission setup through the special wishes department? Surely you can for a price.

Porsche does what they want to do and sometimes $$ doesn't matter. I don't think they will feel like doing this one!

You can, except it's called a GT3RS or GT2. I believe those are the only RWD wide-bodies presently offered.
Don't know if Porsche would personalize a C2S with a wide body.

You can also get a Ruf RT12 with RWD - it's a widebody too.

The 997 4's have the widest hips. That iinlcudes the 997 Turbos (4's by default).
