I have searched the prior posts like a *****, but all of the threads seem to be DE related. therefore, what is the recommended tire pressure for daily, yet aggressive, street driving? The dealer recommended the 36F / 44R as in the door jamb, but since I am 99% driving solo, the car felt bouncy. Love to ge some feedback THanks

When I had my 'S' I always ran 36/44 ... tire wear perfect

You you could try the partial load settings of 33/39
Don't forget to change the TPN setting to Partial Load in the OBC.

That may give you a less bouncy and more cushy ride more to your liking.


Don't forget as the tire pressure numbers are there

+ I go with 33/39 as reported by the TPMS. (In actuality it maye be slightly higher,--perhaps 35/41).

in the manual it speaks of partial pressures. i run 33 /39 and it works well unless it's hot out and the pressures will jump significantly as the tires warm up. when i took delivery they had the pressure set to the door specs, those are fully loaded pressures (ie. max pressures) it shook my teeth out when the tires warmed up. then i made the mistake of pushing the sport button holy crap it was as if there was no suspension

suggested that adherence to OEM pressures is prudent especially in terms of preventing damage to wheel rims

Just an FYI probably all TPMS read different but mine consistently reads 2 pounds higher on the TPMS versus my dial Accu gage.

33/39 for best comfort. There's really no performance advantage on the street to any tweaking.

I have 18's. Book gives only 36/44 spec. for them. The 33/39 is "partial load" spec for 19's. Will it be a mistake to try to get smoother ride by using the 19" spec. on 18's?

Jim, I've been running 34/41 in my 18's. When i took off the PS-2's last fall to put the all-seasons on (which worked quite well in the snow by the way) the tires had about 7500 miles on them. The treadwear seem to be even across the width of the tire. It seems to ride somewhat better. On a long drive yesterday with sunshine and temps in the low 70's the TPMS reported pressures of 37/44. Just what the doorjamb recommends.

I'm not really this **** (I hope), but.......The manual and the quick reference guide for my new to me '06 say 36/44 pounds for 18" wheels. Anyone have an idea why the door sticker says 37/44? I suspect one pound is insignifcant, but.........typo?

I drove the car 400 miles home on Sunday at 44/53 hot according to the tpms. Maybe that's why I felt every crack in the road! Checked cold Monday morning and they were 41/50.
