Default Alarm Issue

Hi guys. My alarm on my 2006 cab S has a mind of it's own. It will go off for no reason in my garage at home. It doesn't happen everyday, but it's enough to bother me. Any ideas before I take it to the stealer for a look see?? Any help is appeciated.

I think someone has the same problem every time he/she uses the microwave oven.

Thanks guys, That helps. I thought it was just my car. And the microwave thing? I never really took notice if there is a correlation, but i'll try it tonight and let you know. They aren't that far from each other.

i have the same problem, brought it to the dealer a few days ago. They said some cell phones/ cordless phones/ microwaves seem to set the alarms off in some vehicles. They installed what is called a 'cabin supervisor' in my car and this is supposed to help. This was all done under warranty. have had it for 1 day and so far so good, lets hope...i would ask your dealer about this supervisor thingy

Had the same issue with my Boxster: turned out to be a faulty sensor in the glovebox.

I started turning off the interior sensor on my alarm, when in the garage, and it's never gone off again. Normally I wouldn't set the alarm in the garage but according to the manual it drains the battery less.
