Default Tooki Bluetooth Unit GROUP BUY

You must have PCM2 w/the phone button, but do NOT need the internal Porsche phone system (if you have it, it comes out).

To get on the list for this, email me: eric@bumperplugs.com

Just reference Tooki Group Buy. We will accumulate the list like we did with the Dension release, and notify everyone in a few weeks once we have the numbers. The group buy will involve a nice discount, of course.

Eric -

I haven't placed my order on a new C4S yet--is there anything I should order to make this work in the future?

Here some more info on the Tooki:

The first full factory integration Bluetooth Car Kit for Porsche, TOOKI allows all 2005+ Porsche with phone buttons on the radio owners to enjoy all the functionality of the original Porsche car phone with added Bluetooth capabilities at a fraction of the cost. Thanks to Bluetooth technology, the driver keeps the phone in his/her pocket, on a belt or in a handbag. Once the ignition key is turned, TOOKI Car Kit detects mobile phone and establishes a wireless connection to it without a need for a SIM card or any manipulations with it. From this point on, both incoming and outgoing calls are handled mostly without touching the phone, hands-free.
TOOKI features*:

How much labour time should I expect to pay if I take to an audio installer?

We don't yet have a number for the discount, it will depend on the number of units. But expect it to be sufficient enough to be worth the effort.

We'll do the best we can. This item cannot be discounted as per the mfr, but we are making a special arrangement for a large group order, and we'll keep it as tight as possible.

NO obligation, just like before. If you want to be on the list, email me. When we have the number of units at our minimum (or perhaps in about 2-3 weeks), we will notify everyone on the list via email with order and price information.

Installation is best done by a pro, but some have done this on their own. Probably 2 hours average.

Cars MUST have PCM2 with the 'phone' button, but NO phone option from Porsche is needed.

And yes, list price is $750, and if you need it now, we have it in stock (order on the Order page of our site anytime)....or wait a week or two for this to come together.

Thanks!

Is the NAV-TV Ipod integration module completely different or can it be bundled with the bluetooth module. Also, does the Tooki unit have a video input allowing other devices to access the PCM screen?

The PCM screen won't really be your best source for video....especially in the US. Dension iPod unit, and NavTV ipod unit are separate boxes altogether from Tooki.

Pricing will be released to those on the group buy list WHEN we pull the trigger. As you probably know, pricing is very tight on this product, so we're working on a few things on our end to pull this off, and we're ready to go when the list is complete. We'll give it a week or two to run, then everyone listed will get email details of the pricing so they can place their order and we can ship them right out!

Thanks.

If you are DIY-er, it's not hard to install. Took me an hour, and most of that was taking my time since I had never removed the PCM before. It truley works and integrates with the PCM as if it was OEM
Take advantage of Eric's group buy 'cause everyone is advertising the same price

everything you wanted to know about the tooki is in this thread

Hi, Caymans'06 manual 6 newbie (just acquired).

My wife wants to drive and send receive calls on her iPhone. I never talk on the phone and drive, but she does. What is the best way, if any, to integrate the iPhone in the Cayman? Ideas?

Will the tooki system work? I don't see any built in phone on the window sticker list, so I think not...

No nav system, just the bose surround sound stereo... I tried searching the forums, but didn't find an easy answer. Any links to lead to solution...?

Thanks, Jim

REMINDER:

Group Buy closes in just a few days! If you have not yet emailed your interest, please do so to eric@bumperplugs.com

Only those on the interest list will have the discounted pricing. Once the GB is closed, that's it!

Thanks.

Jim - the Tooki should do the trick, assuming you have PCM2 on the Cayman. If no PCM screen you could try the Dension with BT adapter (on our site too).

The 987s only come with the PCM if Navigation is installed (unlike 997s that have the PCM regardless).
