Default Does Porsche make Mud Guards for 997?

Have 08 C2S, Does Porsche make mud guards for the 997 to protect car from chipping on body behind front and rear wheels? Sounds like a good idea to me especially for the back where the bumper wraps all the way under behind wheels?(I see small ones from factory in front of rear tires which do not really make sense to me?)

I don't know if Porsche makes mud guards for 997... but thanks to the folks in this forum and Sam at Premier, I listened and added Clear-Bra behind the wheel arc of my 997S.

It does an excellent job to protect rock chips, and it doesn't affect the look of my car.

With best regards,

I had the whole front 1/3 of my car wrap, so the whole front fenders were covered with Clear Bra. For the rear wheels, same as yours, I had the arc behind the rear wheels wrapped (about 2" back)

Default mud guards

Here's what I did. Mid America has pairs of black thermoplastic guards that attach by small, unobtrusive "c" clips over the fender/rocker lips. I templated them to match the inner curve of the "face" of the lip front and rear and shaved them to about 1/4 of initial size so the outer perimeter looks like a typical but small deflector/guard. They deflect stones nicely, are easily removable and are barely noticeable on my seal grey S. Buy 2 pairs to get enough C clips - about 3 needed per guard.

Many years ago there was a company that advertised in Panorama (PCA) and they sold such a device. I fitted them to my 911 in those days and it greatly saved on the paint aft of the rear wheels. They were secured to the fender extensions very well. I suspect such a thing could be done to the current range.

It is getting harder & harder to find a good looking set of mud flaps.
