Default Clear Bra on Sides of rear Bumper??

Great Holidays to all of you Porsche Heads! Took my 08 C2S out for a spin today.Only has about 150 miles. I have a near full Clear Bra on the front end and am already thrilled I got it as it was a super windy day here in NY with much debris in the air.Found myself behind a Landscaping truck...say no more.
Luckily no problems.
*My question is, has anyone put clear bra on the sides of the rear bumper or is the usual strip behind the wheel wells sufficient.I feel like the clear bra is like plastic surgery in Silicone Valley..Just can't get enough.
Thanks for your comment as always!

if you are talking about the area directly behind the rear tires, then yes. This area gets sand blasted within 1500 miles as we have seen. Do get it as it will save you on a respray...especially if you have a darker colored 911.

I have Clear Bra on full front fender and on the arc behind the rear wheels. It does a great job protecting chips behind the wheels. The pieces behind the rear wheel arc are not expensive, and I highly recommend installing them.

With best regards,

I listened to Sam at Premier -- he recommended that for my C2S (narrow body) just a piece behind the rear wheel arc was enough, for wide body cars (C4S, Turbo, etc.) a bigger piece or wrap the rear bumper would be better.

I got the bra on the entire rear bumper, in addition to the area directly behind the wheels. You can hardly even tell it's there. Front bumper, hood, fenders, headlights, mirrors, wheel wells front(special request!) and rear, rear bumper.$1200.

Or you could wrap the entire rear bumper.

I'm not a fan of the strip of film. It never looks good after a while when you've waxed a few times. It's not the wax that becomes the issue; it's getting out the residue over time that wears down the edge of the film and exposes the glue. I highly recommend the fuull bumper install. I know not many installers are capable of doing it, Premier and Detailing Dynamics in NY are the only ones I know of. My 2 cents.

I have it behind my rear wheels on the bumper. Only half way up. I find it makes getting road debris, such as tar bits, rubber etc...much easier to get off.

Thanks Moe! Either way, get it done behind the tires whether it is through the entire panel or a strip...it will save your paint many many times over.

Just thought this thread was interesting and also wanted to thank the guys at Premier for a killer job on my 993 a while back. Only bummer is the ditz (blonde in BMW) that backed into my freshly repainted front bumper with film protection now has spider cracks!!!!! The film was done so nicely that in the shade when the ditz and I were looking for damage I couldn't notice any.......until I washed the car a week later that is! Definately going to have more of the car wrapped after I get some respray work done. The stuff is awsome!

It is our pleasure 2ndof2. Just let us know when you get the bumper cracks repaired....we will be in Southern California toward the end of this month or maybe as late as early February. Happy New Year!

I went with the full bumper appoach - thanks everyone for the comments. Also important to extend the film to wrap around the edges as far as possible. Doing the front wheel wells as Porsche still paints that part. Also a strip on the roof up front and the leading edge of the aerokit spoiler. Now if we could only protect the bottom of the engine.

One other thing you might find interesting. My car is white and the factory installed stone guards in front of the rear wheels were starting to yellow. The film guy explained to the dealer that the yellowing was the adhesive not the film and talked them into replacing them under warranty. His guards are more like the turbos - they cover a larger area
