Advice on two proposed mods
if I had $1,200 to spend after xmas, and my C2S is a daily driver, would you gents recommend I spend it on:
a) new exhaust, to get that nice, deep throaty sound (dont so much care about any HP add), OR
b) Champion H&R springs for better look and handling of the car?
Either option costs about the same, and as my wife says, I have some money burning a hole in my pocket...so sad but so true...it's a porsche baby

Track car also or just daily driver? If only daily driver I say (a) as the springs will cause you scrape quite a bit. However, if you have great roads I would do springs.

u can get springs+install for 600 bucks. I would do that and then do the PSE hack that u have a mufler shop weld a piece between 2 pipes shis should be about 150. Then you have another 450 that you can use to get a desion ipod adaptor or anything else in that price range

The springs made the biggest difference to my C2S. As far as the exhaust is concerned, I recommend that you consider a Borla, if you are intending to live with it on the street. Or you could just disconnect the plug in the engine compartment and you would have a lot more sound w/o spending even a dime.

I agree with this. Check with Darin Fister on the 993 board, he does the mod very well and it sounds great.

For the street the stock suspension i great. For beginning track use up to solo on the track the stock suspension is great. Basically what I am saying is you nor I nor most others on this board CAN NOT drive a Carrera to it's fullest potential.
So with that in mind I would go with some better sounding mufflers. You can not go wrong with Fabspeed or Borla.

yeah I heard the fabspeed on the site, and the audo file sounded great I am leasing the car Do you have any idea on whether this voids the warranty?

Too bad you could have bought my Fabspeed last week for $600 and use the left over for your springs. I believe there is a post selling another Fabspeed like mine for $700. You can bargain with the seller to buy it for the same price I sold it.

Like some on here suggested you mod up the exhaust cans for less than $200. Buy H&R springs. And get an K&N intake. You get sound, firm ride and smooth ride.
Another option is to mod the exhaust cans and with $1000 left over save it for a Pss9 coilover. With another $1000 you can save it in no time.

^Exactly.
you won't get the full benefit of better handling by upgrade the springs unless you are already able to drive the stock car to it's fullest potential. If the springs lower the car it will compromise daily ride quality and increase the chance of scratching the front underbody.
