Turbo shifter. Possibly to transplant into a C2 Cab. I'm not trying to be a turbo poseur. Just never been too enamored by the basic Carrera shift ****.
So what do you think?
So what do you think?

Not feeling it... How is this different? I put 7600 miles on my C2S and I guess I don't really see how this is different - maybe I just never paid attention to something as functional as the shifter. Are you saying yours doesn't work, or that you just don't like how it looks so you want to change it? I guess I just don't understand the problem you have with what came on the car... If it's not broken, don't fix it.

Nothing wrong with it. Just don't like the look. Carrera **** is clear plastic on top instead of aluminum like the Carerra S. The turbo **** (shown) has even more aluminum in the shift lever and looks a little better in my opinion.
I'll attached a photo of the S **** for comparison: (I don't have a photo of the base Carerra ****)

Have you considered a RUF shifter?

I've got a brand new RUF shifter for sale if you're interested. Drove the car to work and back with it. I guess I just liked the factory shape better. Now I've got the GT3 Alcanatra one and I'm happy as can be.

Thanks but no thanks. But its good to know I'm not the only one interested in something other than the shifter that was on the car at delivery.
Any pointers about the process of removing and replacing the shifter?

I like the Turbo shifter ****. Changing the shift **** is really easy. Here is a link to the installation instructions for the B&M Short Shifter kit. Just look as Steps #1 & #2 to see how to remove the **** and Step #49 on how to replace it. However, the Turbo "could" be a little different on how it attaches to the shift handle, but probably not.

I didn't care for the s-**** either and just replaced it last month with the turbo **** you pictured. Looks much better imo. but I'm not sure how much aluminum if any went into the production. It's very light and metal is not the first thing that comes to mind. Easy install.......about 2 minutes.
