Default Side Marker question

I have read that the side markers are held in my an aluminum clip and that you just have to pry and snap it off.

My car's markers are loose and if I slid the markers back the can actually be pulled half way out. I tried pushing snapping clipping it back but it appears that the prongs or clip inside the bumper is broken.

Has anyone had this happen to them? And do you think this is a fixable issue for the dealer?

thanks in advance

this is a common problem if the side marker is pulled out wrong.
i heard that it is very hard to fix so best bet is probably to pick up a new set.
i cant imagine why you cant just bend the clip back, but it seems like its too hard.

I had this problem. As raffi suggest, I bought a new pair. Problem solved.

I had the same problem about 9 months ago.
A little bit of 3m double sided taped fixed it with no issues since.
Don't use too much though if you plan to try to get them off.
I couldn't see spending another $30 plus shipping for just that.

The front clips are plastic and can break...the rear metal clip can also bend...If the front clips break I would get new ones...otherwise try bending the rear clip. Let me know if you need pics

When you guys say "just get another set", are you talking about another sete of markers? bc that is what I did, I ordered some clear sides.

Or are you talking about a new set of housing inside the bumper?

You can bend back the clips.

For $30 or less, it is cheap enough that I would just purchase a new set of side markers (both left and right) and replace them for good.

With best regards,
