Default Britax Monarch Booster Seat

Has anyone any experience of the Britax Monarch child seat in the back of a 997 Coupe? It looks like it should fit as it has an adjustable width. I would welcome any comments/feedback. Thanks !

I bought the Fisher Price Safe Voyage booster seats (2) so my two 5 year olds could sit in the back of my coupe. They fit very well-I was able to find a place online that had them for $40 each+7 bucks for shipping.

I have the Fisher Price seats for my cab, took my 3 year twin boys out yesterday for a ride, they love the top down, and the seats fit great.

I use the Britax Parkway, and it works very well. Just remember that everything is easier if you just remove the lower portion of the rear seats, which is just held in with velcro.

+1 on the Fisher Price seat which is actually made by Britax as well. The Parkway is much larger and I believe doesn't have the detachable rear back rest, which the Fisher Price unit does have, which adds a bit more leg room (By moving the child's back closer to the actual backrest). It works great in my 997 cab.

TD in DC by the lower portion of the rear seat do you mean in the car itself? The seat cushion?

I tried my wifes Britax Monarch in the back of the 997S Cab.
It has these cupholders on each side that stop it sitting in the kind of U-shaped rear seats.
I didnt want to break them off, so i gave up.

The Porsche Plus is the same seat i think.
It doesnt have the cupholders, and that fit perfect when i tried it at the dealers.
Sunset had them for ~$200, and the Britax one is already $150 or $175 i think.

Yes, the lower seat "cushions" are removable. Just pull. Hurts the first time you do it, but then you don't really think about it anymore. In fact, I just take mine out and leave them out. Without the seat cushions, the seat sits lower (you will find as the kids grow that height is as much a concern as anything) and a little wider. Use a towel as necessary to obtain proper fit with booster seat.

I keep my seat cushions out, no one sits back there but my boys. The Fisher Price does not have the cupholder attached

I have taken out all--removing the seatback gives another 1" or so.

I just take out the seat bottom. Removing the seat back is a little more involved, but definitely can be done.

Don't the cup holders push back into the base like they do on the parkway? I thought they did. The things I like about the Monarch that I like (in concept anyway), is that the backrest is removable for when the kids get bigger, and that the width of the armrests is adjustable like on the Fisher Price Voyager.

The sup holderspush in but still protrude enough so they catch on the U-shape of the seat in the 997. This was with the seat base pad (997 one, not the booster) in place. Removing it would just make things worse as the booster would sit up by a few inches and rest on the cupholders. They look like they could be removed with a big tug, but didnt want to break my wifes new booster for the X-5.
Im thinking just get the Porsche one... for $50 more it fits great.
