Hi All,

Me & a friend went along to the Porsche Showtime event in Interlaken, Switzerland on Saturday.. Nice day, nice drive, some cool cars.. Thought I'd share some pics.

Figured we'd take the scenic route



Got there a bit late.. The Swiss like to get up early, and things were pretty quiet by the time we got there..

This looks like the airfield seen on the train on the way up to Lauterbrunnen or Schynige Platte. Been by there many times as a youth, less often now. Nice pics!! Thanks for sharing. What brings you to Switzerland? I'm part Swiss. Mom's family is Schuepbach.

Thanks guys - was beginning to wonder if my thread was invisible.. Ah well..

The show was at the small airport just outside Interlaken - think it either is or was a military airport - just a couple of bunkers and an airstrip really. Quite amusing - we came in though the rear entrance and had to drive down the runway to get to the show. The poor guy on the door was asking everyone to take it easy down the runway - not too many took his advice

There were some really nice race cars there - nothing too outstanding otherwise - the car show scene isn't very popular in Switzerland really. Mostly it was a nice day out and a great drive over the Sustenpass...

I left the UK for Switzerland about 6 years ago - nice place to live - low crime, good jobs, cheap taxes, nice weather, mountains, skiing , ...
