Okay - I have a first draft of the covered bridge tour... it's pretty rough right now and needs some work, but the hard part is done.

The next step is to drive it and fix all the problems that I already see.

If all goes well and all the bridges are open we'll manage to cover 10 of the 12 bridges. I'm not expecting all of them to be open, so I'll be happy if we get 7 or 8 in the final draft of the tour.

All - I ran the first half of the covered bridge tour today. We are going to have to change the starting point from Washington Crossing to the Lamberville location that we have used previously (see the update above).

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I think it will make for a better drive for us.

I'm interested in the tour. This would be my first so I'd like to know what's involved. I work on Saturday and I'd have to reschedule my patients. Can a guest with a Lambo come along for the ride?

It would be great to have you join us.

This is our third drive of the year. We do a meet and greet before the drive to get to know each other and photograph the cars. We then head out on a drive, with a rest-stop somewhere along the way. We'll finish in a park for more social time, then head our separate ways. Previous drives have been around 65 miles and have taken a couple of hours. This drive will probably (I'm not finished mapping it yet) be longer - maybe upto a 100 miles for this one in order to fit in as many bridges as we can.

I have designed the drives to be on quiet back roads where we can spread out and have some fun without other cars getting in the way. The pace is usually pretty good and I make sure that we have some nice fun roads in there.

As for your friend, this drive is intended to be a Porsche only event and is sponsored by the local PCA region. Much as I would love for him to join us, interest in the drive has been good and depending upon numbers I cannot promise a spot for him, as priority will be given to Porsches. He is welcome to show up and we can always tag him onto the end of the line of Porsches if the numbers are not too unwieldy.

Well, we drove the final version of the covered bridge tour today. I think it has turned out pretty well.

80 miles, 7 covered bridges, several state parks and some good mixed terrain roads. We'll have fun with it.

Folks,

I have recently moved from Cinci to Horsham area. I do not have my 911 with me (still to be shipped from Cinci) but do have the my Cayenne. Am I allowed to participate?

If you have a Porsche you're welcome.

You will not be the only Cayenne there, so don't worry - just don't go squishing any of us in the smaller cars and don't block the view.
