new to the board - have 997 turbo on order, re-thinking.

Hi UK997C2S
It's my understanding that the the Turbo is more suited to the road while the GT3 is more suited to the track.
I had read a few reviews that suggested the ride was softer on the Turbo than expected, and it certainly seemed so to me. My assumption is that the Turbo is pitched at the guy who wants max power but drives mainly on the road. The more relaxed ride is more comfortable day to day, with the option of course to press the "sport" button to harden everything up when you want to push harder.
I actually liked this - but the comfort benefit seems to me to be lost as the road noise was more extreme.
Hope your still enjoying your car!

To Devon, still enjoying the car and at 5000 miles now it's running SO well. The engine and gearbox are both loosening up and the exhaust (standard, not PSE) is beginning to growl. Loving every minute!
To gota911, oh dear!! Wish I'd checked my postings before I posted.

A C4S with X-51 is gonna run you close to $120K with just a few options. For just a little more $ your in a new Turbo. I say go for the Turbo, it's a lot more car for just a little more $$.

Have driven 997TT and it is amazing. I love my 997S and would never get rid of it for the TT. Well, honestly I would except the spousal pain would be too great to bare.
