Porsche crest on front decklid
is loose. Anyone know what size ratchet will get those nuts up there? I think it's pretty weird to see something like this on a new Porsche.

I think they all come loose. Mine was fixed at the dealer. Push down on the lid and see if the latch is a bit loose which is also common. I hope that is your major problem with the car. I am about to turn 20,000 and those are two of my three problems. The other is the clock is slow by about 3 min. per week. Fantastic car!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have only seventy-some miles on mine so far, but, yes, so far so good. I also noticed that my tire pressures were way low and my lug nuts were not torqued to spec. Easy fixes in my garage, but again odd for a new car. Not complaining ( I love this car). Just making observations.

Jim:
I'd be worrying about my dealer, not the car. OTHO, I looked at several 997s prior to buying mine, and most of them had loose hood crests... I wonder if Porsche installs them "loosely" at the factory to prevent marking the paint? Who knows....
However, I'd be all over the dealer's rear end regarding the low tire pressures and improperly torqued wheel lugs... these are massive safety issues, and you deserve an apology at an absolute minimum... if they don't respond properly, I'd make PCNA aware of the issue.
Good luck!

To prevent the nuts from ever coming loose just make sure you're not pushing down on the crest when closing your trunk.
Everybody here should know by now (and if you don't, now you know) that you should be pressing down just below the crest when closing your trunk lid. This area is where the latch bracket is attached to the lid. And this is where the closing force should be applied. Pressing down on the crest will likely work the nuts loose due to the amount of flex the aluminum lid has.

Loose hood emblems are not a typically problematic area for 911s.
I would also maintain that tire pressures and wheel bolt torque values should be the responsibility of the car owner/driver.

I agree, but I didn't bring my torque wrench and pressure gauge with me when I went to take delivery on the car from the dealer. I didn't think I needed to. I figured they would have checked these things when they received the cars from PCNA.

That's right,--what is included, I wonder, in a PDI,--if not stuff like that!
