Pictures of White Cab with XRR rims?
Hi Folks.
I have been trolling here for a few months as part of the process of finalizing a selection for when I am ready to order a 997 C2S cab.
I have decided on Cararra White/Metropole Blue (both roof and interior). Am now trying to decide on rims. I really like the sports design but have just recently 'discovered' the XRR ones.
Does anyone have any pics of that exact colour combo (tried to seach and found 1 pic but hoping for a few more)?
Am a little concerned that the 'gunmetal' shade of the XRRs will detract a little from the 'clean' look of a white on blue cab.
On the other hand, like the idea that the gunmetal finish adds a little 'badness' to the whole look of the car.
Help me out here folks, you can see that I am really confused.
PS. I would like to keep the external look of the car factory original so I am really not looking for any wheels that are not factory.

Help me out here guys. Need to decide quite quickly.
Should I go for sport design or carerra sport rims with the white/blue combo I am choosing for my cab?
TIA

hey, I'm currently choosing a c2s cab too, I know the advice is appreciatted, I'm listing this from my palm for gods sake. I think the standard sport designs will look better, b/c of the clean look u mentioned and b/c since the spoked go all the way to the rim they look bigger to me. I feel u on the xrr's they do add an edge...but in 2 months I'd rather have the multispoke big boys.

That is IT!
I am going to order the car now! Ohisixx, you have pushed me over the edge. Sorry, make that hurled me over it.
Think I will go with my first instinct and order the sports design rims.

****!
Just saw the DSG post. Have tried DSG on the Golf GTi and it is a really fab tranny. Having said that, the 997 tip is much much improved over the 996 tip. So should I wait?
B4 anyone says get a manual, cant. The whole excercise of getting a 997 is based on the fact that it must be a cab and a tip. Or else, I have to keep my 996. Besides, the car is used 90% of the time for city driving. Thought I would get serious withdrawl symptoms switching to a tip but surprisingly, it hasnt factored at all.

Carrara is the small town where carrara marble comes from, prized for it's very pure and intense white colouring - michaelangelo used marble from this region
