Back from Detroit - 997S First Road Trip...
I’m back with no tickets or damage on my first real road trip with the 997 to pick-up a friends new 993. From Washington, DC to Detroit, Michigan. We had rain (thunder storms and heavy water standing on the freeway) on Friday drive on the way up - NO PROBLEM!!! Departed Detroit at 11:00 am on Saturday morning and arrived back home in Olney in time for dinner at 7:00 pm - NO PROBLEM!!!
The car was GREAT and the Adaptive Sport Seats very comfortable both days with zero issues. My Valentine V1 seems to have been quicker on the drawl then my friends Bel RX65 model. Click here to view the pictures... :biggulp: |
Nice photos. Nothing like a good road trip. MJones will be proud of both of you.

Thanks for sharing. You guys look like two happy fools that just won the lottery. Great pictures. Also, I know the 997 was modeled to bring back the 993 looks, but I just didn't realize how closely the two cars looked alike when looking at the face. I am really surprised. I thought they were both 993's until I was the chrono. Very interesting. Thanks again,..great stuff.

Great photos, John - thanks for posting!
The 993 is absolutely gorgeous... and so is the Club Coupe! I'm sure that you guys never exceeded the speed limit, so the V1 was just extra baggage, right...? <g> -don |
I agree with SilverSteel. I didn't realize just how similar the 993 and 997 are to each other from the front until I saw them side by side.
