Stupid Z06 Vette owners...

Some 20 years ago I was watching a female comedian and part of her set was about guys and their cars.
When she came to guys and their corvettes she said "Everytime I see a guy over 40 years old in a corvette I just have to say to him sorry to hear about your *****" Hey we might be a little slower 0 to 60 but we do handle alot better.

Three Wheelin'
The Vette is a nice car, it's just in a different league. American muscle cars will always have a place in everyone's heart. But when it comes to owning the ultimate sports car, there is just no finer, more durable, road proven car than the Porsche.

There seems to be certain auto marques whereby the owners want to knock others i.e. Vette vs. P, Lambo vs. Ferrari etc. IMO pyschologically if you feel a need to knock some other brand than deep down you must be envious, otherwise you'd just forget about it. Brand preference is a personal thing so opinions don't matter much.

It's the associations which are annoying. Everytime I see a Corvette I think of GM "quality" and this fantasy car:

I guess you could avoid reading/visiting those forums?
You honestly didn't expect a Vette forum to be full of owners wishing (or even admitting to it if they did) they had a Porsche instead did you?

This thread was a test to see how Porsche owners would retaliate to some little flaming. Most if not all stood up to it like a champ and handled it with decency and civility that I expected.
For a fun read you may want to see why I posted this by reading the following threads and the idiotic statements many have made.

To me, the Corvette was always a POS compared to other sports cars that were available, especially german cars. However, i have to say that after test driving the C6 recently, i have to acknowledge that GM came up with a winner this time, especially for the money! I have to admit, when Chevy announced that they were going to release the new Blue Devil Corvette in 2007, it put me over the edge and i have a deposit on the first one coming to Cleveland. What's not to like about 650 hp and 300 lbs less than the current Z06, for the same price as a C4S. Americans can make good cars too! come on, don't knock the americans. Anyone that says the new Z06 is a POS is brand washed!
