It's August 2018 and I still have this car, so overall I think I made a good choice with the options. Prior to this car, I never owned a car longer than 5 years so despite the means to replace it I've just never had the heart to do it.
I plan to do a long-term report on this car which now has a little over 48,000 miles (it's a sunny day only car - in the Seattle area).
Thanks for all the kind words on this post. At this point the only feature I wish it came with was integrated Bluetooth. I didn't have the heart to hack up the car getting something else so I settled with a Jabra Cruiser 2 which has done the job well enough.

Wow - You surely committed yourself! I've been thru 8 Porsche's over the past 12 years - Loving my 07 C4S.
I think you'd be pleased with H&R springs - Lowers about 1" and ride is superb.
