The Cab of my Life
After thinking about trading for a cab really since they were announced late last year, I did so today and I am SO happy I did. As wonderful as my coupe was, the cab is something else, IMHO. It is extremely solid and strong. Many, many stares and thumbs-up on the drive home (200 miles).
Top up the ride is extremely quiet; in city traffic just as much as the coupe, on the highway a little less so but inside the cabin and without even being broken in, I hear the sweet exhaust note, already.
Top-down, the windstop really does the job. I stopped at an Outback on the way home, went to the restroom before sitting down and I was amazed that my hair wasn't all messed up from driving top-down!
Here are the specs:
2005 Arctic Silver/Stone Grey/Black top
19" Carrera Classics
Sports Chrono
Xenons
Bose
Nav
Porsche Crest in Headrest
Power Seat
Heated Seat
Multi-function Steering Wheel
Because it's a June build, I have MP3 capability in the single CD player in the PCM. And, as reported here, the NAV disk came preloaded with the car, and contains more streets in the same cities as the one that came with my Dec. 2004 build coupe.
There is no substitute.

Dekard:
If you're into convertibles, the cab is the ultimate. I loved my Boxster, and loved my coupe. I'm all over my cab. With one button, and nothing more, you can raise or lower your top, even while moving up to 35 mph.

Forgot to add, in terms of structural rigidity, I think the 997 cab retains about 90-95% of the solid 'feel' of the coupe.
