Scratched Seat Backs. Help!
I managed to put some really nice scratches on the backs of my adaptive sport seats while carrying some stuff around over the weekend. Any suggestions on how I might make them less noticable. TIA.

I have the same problem. Leather cleaner won't help - seat backs are painted plastic, and I have scratched off some of the paint. Maybe touch up paint? I need a solution too!

If they are painted plastic(I didn't realize that the adaptive seats were) and they are an easy color like black then I'd think that you could spray paint the scratch to cover it up. I'd imagine the dealership would have the correct solution.

I noticed that problem also when I saw my daughters shoe marks all over the backs of the seats. I tried to explain how "we don't kick daddy's car" but you can imagine how long that lasted plus accidents do happen. I think the material does not seem to be very durable and it seems like it is only a matter of time before a scratch happens. I was thinking about having my clear bra guy put film over it, but them that would prob. look like crap so I said f$%#^ it, just drive the car and do the best you can do. If the kid scratches it, just beat her. Just kidding, of course.

That's only on the sport seats I believe. I have the full leather seats but I've seen that plastic backing on cars in the showroom that have the adaptive sport seats.

AS is the color of the seat back right? You can buy that in a spray can but should remove the seat to paint it.
I'm sticking to stock seats w vinyl backs. Any foot mark wipe right off with a towel. I often carry stuff in the back seats so painted seat back is pretty much impractical.

I posted a year ago when the 997s began to trickle in that the painted plastic seat backs were the dumbest thing they could do . My children love riding in the back of our full-leathered seat backs of my 996 Turbo . The shoe marks on the black leather wipe right off with a dry towel. Painted backs as std on the 997 would have looked like an " Etch-A Sketch " screen by now . Ecccchhh !
