LOL ... yeah the blonde and cleavage helps a lot...

to be honest I just go with the flow and always acknowledging the fact that he's running the show... cool, calm and respectful.. Works for me!

I'll only do it if I'm forced to by the California DMV - i.e. - a fit-it-ticket. After a point, it really doesn't matter.

Nope and it is req. in CA. I got a $30 ticket form a meter maid in Santa Monica, but i would rather pay that ticket every 6m than put a fornt plate on.

If you can't afford the ticket, get a buick...

No plate in the front for me, here in Orange County, CA. Only got pulled over once and it was a warning for not stopping completely at a 4-way stop.

Does anyone in California know if they give you a ticket that won't go away - until you bring the car to the DMV and show that its been fixed????

just have your plates in the car. If a cop stops you, tell them you're waiting for "special" equipment from germany to put the plates on.

Its too bad about the dweeby meter maids though.

Where I live in Central America, I don't even bother putting plates on my car. I just leave them in the trunk. and put tape my registration paper on the corner front windows. Of all the things I miss the least about living in the usa, it has to be the restrictive rules, and red tapes that the US has.

Otherwise, the USA is a great place to live.

Front plate on my new 911 in Illinois. Wife received a $75.00 ticket for no front plate last year on a MB SLK by a state trooper. Have never installed from plate on my MB SL, but only drive it 1600 miles year.

Addict, "no bumper holes and plate/mounting bracket in the trunk" has been my method for my last 3 cars. So far, I've never been asked.

Nope, no front plate on my car either, and Ontario is also a 2 plate province...
I do have it in the front trunk, and will attempt a feeble defence (excuse) should I get pulled over.

The front lines are just to nice to tack on a dorky plate... not that that will hold much water ...

Funny thing I was pulled over in NY. It was alleged that I might have been doing 95 in a 50. No radar single went off so my guess is he just saw a silver blur go by and decided to come after me. After a short discussion about a friend of mine that was in his line of work he decided that I was simply following to close to a car in front of me a offense that has no points and a $90.00 fine. He walked around the car and noticed I had no front plate. He then came back to my car and simply said "I could ticket you for that as well but I'm not sure witch would be the bigger crime" hoped on his motorcycle and drove off.

It would be less obnoxious if our front plates were shaped more like the Euro ones; though I agree they still look awful.

My dealer neglected to mount a front plate and I have neglected to notice.

Front Plate! No Way in Hell! I’ll stop driving my 911 before I put front plate on it.
And I think it’s a infringement on my Civil Right

Once they give you a ticket, you have to get proof of repair at DMV or CHP. I never had a problem with lack of front plate until they started putting in those stupid red light cameras.
