If your dealership is any good at all, they will have checked everything over from body parts to oil levels to colors...guess I'm spoiled by my dealership (Brumos) as the three Porsches I've purchased from them have all been 100% perfect. For the $ you're paying, I'd go over it with a fine tooth comb as your salesman shows you everything during its delivery. Please tell me you've got confidence in your dealership and salesman as delivery of a Porsche is a long, detailed and confusing ordeal. Good luck.

Default Finally here

Finally. It seem liked forever, but I picked her up today, Wednesday morning.

It kind of bothered me that the car had 225km on it already. What the HELL?! Anyways, I didn't let it get too me, and I was a happy camper after I drove her off the dealership. There is only one authorized porsche dealership, so I'm stuck with them

There's only one other 997 in the entire country of costa rica. And I have the only 997s for now! Here's a pic of her this morning.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Very nice

Make sure you understand where those 225 km came from.

If yours is only one of two 997's in the country, I would think that the 225K came from the dealer.....of course, he was just making sure all worked fine.... Makes you wonder if it was driven past the 4200 rpm break-in rule. In any case, you've got a great car. enjoy!

I'd be a little curious as to why my brand new, special order car has 225Km on the clock!

Wow!! Beyond the recommended limits or just a couple hours (100 km is like an hour or so) cruising??

Thanks for all your great comments. The dealership is the same for costa rica and panama. So I had to import the car from panama to Costa Rica. I didn't have the patience to build my car. I just bought what they had on the lot.

Anyways, the dealer told me they test drive the car. But I assume with 225km, they probably let people test drive my car. Oh well, its a distant memory, now my car has 360km and rising every minute!

I love the car, staying under 4000rpm is no problem for me....Even at 3000rmp, its damn fast! Minor complaint is the creaking noise from the front dashboard. Hopefully, when my cd changer comes from panama, i'll have them look at it.

I'll post pictures of the 911 in the gorgeous back road of costa rica shortly!
