997 S Cab finally ONVESL
I heard from my rep today that my new 997 S Cab left port on 5-04-05. I can't believe I'm finally on the water. Heck I feel like celebrating. Should land at Baltimore next weekend sometime, go through PDI and then onto an enclosed truck ride up the 95 to Danbury, CT. If all goes well hopefully in two weeks or so I'll have my first pics to post. And I'm not going to be bashful about posting either. I've waited along time to see my new baby. Does anyone know how long it takes to get through PDI? Take Care and I'll keep you up to date.

Johnny,
Gary, is correct the whole process began the end of November'04. As I have stated before there are two reasons I think that my order took so long. One I ordered a Cab before production began, and two I ordered a tiptronic S. Supposedly they made some changes on the transmission and they needed to make more. This moved my build date from March to April. And with demand being so high it just took longer. The is coming to an end.

I wonder if the Cab I ordered and was told waiting for the boat trip on April 27 is on the one going to Baltimore? I thought Porsche delivered to Charleston, SC (perhaps this is for Jacksonville, FL)? I ordered on 1/10. Was told by dealership mine would be one of their "allocated" Cabs and would be built in either April or May and delivered in either May or June. White/Metrolpole blue; Sea Blue leather with heated Adaptive Sport seats; Nav; CD autochanger; Aluminum instrument surrounds, side door finshers, door entries; Sport Chrono Plus; Stainless Exhaust Tailpipes; Sport Design wheels; Porsche logo embossed on seats; Multi function steering wheel...it's been a long wait...hopefully will have soon

My car should be in Baltimore this weekend. With any luck it should be in Danbury, CT by next weekend. This could add up to a great weekend being that "The Force wil be with me". Star Wars and a new 997 S Cabriolet with sport chrono. Can't wait. I finally learned how to post pics and I will no be shy. I will give great exterior and interior shots along with a review of how it rides. Until then take care.
