As another point of reference, I just hit 2,000 miles last night (all of them under 5k RPM). No oil loss.

Mine ate 1 quart of oil the 1st 2000 miles and then stopped. All is okay at 3600 miles.

I just added a quart of Mobil1 which I bought at Kragen for $4.99 a bottle. The oil indicator is now fluctuates from full to 1 bar from full.
