Beautiful color. Your car looks fantastic. And the clear coat is not noticeable at all. I like your tires. Looks sharp. What did you use to detail and gloss it up?

Thaks for the pics Riot. I just changed my order to Atlas Grey. I loved it that much. I was hesistant on which color to choose, and when I saw yours the decision was made. I will have to think about the clear cover. What was the fee for the service, if you don't mind saying? Take care and good luck.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

DJ23, I'm glad that you like the color and that the pictures were helpful. My car actually hasn't been washed in 3 weeks. I paid $735 to have the bumper, 1/3 of the hood, headlights, fog lights, and side mirrors covered. I can't wait to see pics of your S!

BMWM3PILOT, I'm from Pasadena and I miss Palo Alto when I go back to visit.

Default RE: Atlas Grey

Riotgear, how does it look in the sunlight? I notice that most of your shots were done in the shade. Is the color lighter in the sun? Do you, or anyone else, have pics of Atlas Grey in the sun? Ideally, if there was a comparo photo of Seal Grey and Atlas Grey, that would be helpful. I have Seal Grey on order but haven't seen Atlas Grey in person, though I think I might like it, but am reluctant to order something sight-unseen, know what I mean?

OCBen, I'll take some pics of the car in direct sun light tomorrow after I wash the car.

Riot, no need to go through all the trouble. I really appreciate it though. But I just got off the phone with my local dealer and he told me they have an Atlas Grey cab on the lot that I can take a look at later this afternoon, as well as several Seal Greys. He says Atlas Grey has a bluish hue to it, not purplish, in the sunlight. Is that what you see as well? Anyway, guess I'll find out for myself later today. Thanks again for your offer to post new pics.

OC, the Atlas Grey does have a slight blue hue. I'm not a fan of blue cars, but I love this color. Seal Grey was my #1 choice until I saw the Atlas Grey.

Thanks alot Riot. I just may be following in your tracks. Can't wait til I see the Atlas Grey cab later today. I still have time to change my order, since I'm slotted for a May production date. I'm not exactly head-over-heels with Seal Grey, but it sounds like you are with Atlas Grey. Now that's how I would like to feel with my color choice! I hope it has the same effect on me. I'll keep you posted.

Default Re: Atlas Grey & other colors

Riotgear... Went to the dealership with my wife (big mistake you might think) to take a look at various colors besides the Atlas Grey. There were two 911s in Atlas Grey, a Targa in the show room and the cab, which was outside. The Atlas Grey is definitely a dark color with blue hues in it like you said. We also looked at Seal Greys, Artic Silvers, and then my wife came across a color she just fell in love with -- Slate Grey! I liked it too, but then when I told her it was a $3070.00 option she said so what, that it was worth it, both for its beauty and rarity.... And there you have it, Slate Grey it is! ... A color I'm now head-over-heels with!
