What "Extras" Can Your Porsche Dealer Throw In?
#17
i got 7000$ worth of parts and labour on my GT3 (a way for me to get a fat discount, and them to hedge some of the cost).
i also got keychians, license plate frames, clear side markers, a bunch of posters/etc.
the thing you should focus on is really the discount and not the frou frou extras. money is better

bonuses are a really nice gesture, but in the grand scheme of things, they will amount to less than 100-200$
like i said, the real thinking/negotiating should be done before the contract/bill of sale is printed, ie. you should be hacking at the MSRP.
as for extras a few days before delivery day, not during negotiations. most dealers will be happy to give them to you (within reason). if you start mentioning these things during negotiatoins, it will make you seem petty and make it more difficult to get a large discount where it counts.
sorry about the ranting just another passage from my experience in car buying.

Work on the price and not the misc stuff. I never thought about all the little extras since I thought the best deal would be one where I could save substantial $$. I was pretty happy with the little extras and service I got after the deal, a bonus afterall.
