RJL. How do you plan on prepping your car for storage, as I am planning to do the same for my 996?

I would recomend a subaru from experience with a friends. However the mini cooper is also a great choice, granted that you won't be seeing anything real deep, since its so low to the ground. But if clearance is an issue, forester all the way.

C4 (or Turbo) with winter wheels & tires leaves SUVs at stop lights.....goes better that most anything
on the road........and when it's not autocross season, it's the most fun I have every day .

Notice that I am a safe driver and have taken
time to clear off the windshield for safe vision.

Used B5 body style Audi S4 would be fun. They can be had for between 20-25k easy. (less if you dont care much about miles) 2.7tt engine has lots of mods available. Make sure you get some snow tires for it too.

We live in winter country and our solution is an Audi Allroad. I intend to put winters on the C4S and use it as well, although the Audi will be the main winter driver. That means if it just snowed more than 6", the C4S stays in the garage - at least until the plowing is done.
The Audi is an excellent allround car - height adjustable air suspension; twin turbo; lots of hauling capacity.
My biggest concern with driving the Porsche in winter is the higher possibility of someone else running into me - that and the salt. It will be washed a lot.

I have a C320 4matic and hate it and will drive it this winter only if there is ice or snow.
