Default Steering Rack End of Travel

In my car (2006 C2S w 49k miles), when turning and reaching the end of steering travel during parking, the feel and sound when the rack reaches the stop is off to me. It feels/sounds less than solid. Hard to describe. My 928 GT has a very solid feel when it reaches end of travel. Much preferable. Is there a rubber or some other component in the rack stop that can be replaced that provides a more solid feel ? The steering is otherwise excellent.

Did you check your power steering fluid level? Usually, if a steering rack is failing, it leaks.

Peace

Yes, power steering reservoir is full.

Does anyone know if the steering stop is internal within the rack or external?
