Default 2009 Carrera engine running lean

Hi All,
I got an check engine light and it says left and right banks are running lean?

Post more info.. Can you clear the codes and see if they return?

I cleared the codes but haven't driven car yet. Taking it out tomorrow. Let you Know then. I added fuel system cleaner , could that be the cause?

Drive it, see what codes, if any, resurface. Other more qualified RL members will most likely comment soon.

Most likely a vacuum leak allowing unmetered air in downstream of the MAF or a failing high pressure fuel pump. Smoke test for a vacuum leak.

Engine light didn't come back on but "!" was still showing? Scan reading P0171, 0174

Once you move the stalk after a warning message, it clears the message but leaves the exclamation point so you know there's an error code. Using the stalk you can go back to review the code message again.

If he cleared the codes I wouldn't expect the ! to stay illuminated. Am I wrong?

That correct until it tripped a new CEL, then he'd get the dash message again and once he moved the stalk it would go away and leave the exclamation point. I shouldn't have used the word "clear" in my previous note as I meant used the stalk to change what the dash display screen is showing, not actually that he erased the fault memory with a scan tool.
