Default Need a Measurement - Motor Mount

Heya, long story but need a measurement for a design I’m working on. Does anyone have a 997.1 motor mount around that can measure the height difference between the two surfaces highlighted in red in the attached picture?

Would a 997.2 work? I have access to one.

Let's give it a shot.. I'll check the part numbers but I'm sure they are the same.

Just check, 05-12 is the same part number so that would be great!

Doesn’t that distance vary depending on how much that rod is pulled/pushed?

Correct! I just assume OP knew this and needs the measurements to make some solid mounts or something.

Actually it is a bit more "odd" - I need it because I am putting an LS in a 997 and using the original exhaust. I did a 3D scan of the 997 ending and I have a full 3D model of an LS already. So I need to put the 997 scan in place in based on the orientation of the frame, and then place the LS where it mounts in the same space. I have designed mounting plates for the 997 mufflers and for the LS block - once I have the correct orientation of the other components I can design the connecting pipe for a mandrel bend.

So I need the mount measurement to get it placed accurately.

Oh cool! That sounds like a fun project. I have the measurement, its 49.2mm from the red points on your photo, this is with no engine mounted to the mount.

Goodluck on your project!
