Fan switch replacement
Hi all,
After searching the forums I couldn’t find a thread that addressed this, hence the newb question here. Just wondering if anyone has replaced the Fan / Temp switches on their climate control until with good success? If so, which replacement switches did you use and how have they held up. There are lots of different ones available on Amazon etc from $20 all the way up to $120, so looking for some success (or horror) stories .

I assume you are referring to the toggles on each side of the unit. I had to take my entire unit apart to change the LCD screen. As part of that, I removed the toggle switchs and they came out easy. You will need a micro screw driver and I think once you get the faceplate off the toggles came out easily but can't remeber exactly. Its not very hard at all so go for it. The replacement toggles on the internet are only for the early generation 997.2. The later generations 997.2 have different toggles and they do not make replacment for that generation. Good luck!

MA Carbon has the best ones and Climarepair the worst ones, with other choices in between, like Amazon, etc.

I put the Amazon ones in a friends car. While not 100% oem look they are so close I wouldn’t care. Second the MA carbon ones if you want matching ones.

thanks for the recommendation. Wasn’t sure what the next best choice was after MA Carbon! 🙏

I replaced mine last year with the cheap ones off Amazon. I actually bought ones that were indicated for. Baxter as the exact same toggles listed for the 911 we’re $10 more). It is a super easy job that took all of about 10 min and they look completely factory to my eye. So far holding up perfectly
