How do you disassemble Bose amp 997.645.334.22 housing?

Hi, I have a 2006 997.1 with Bose audio amp 997.645.334.22 (99764533422) AMP, 4166 MOST, 9X7, PROD. I did some reading and it seems the capacitors go bad over time. I am taking the amp to a local electronics shop for testing and repair but they want the amp disassembled beforehand.

I removed all 10 screws and was able to remove the panel with the fan, but cannot figure out how to separate the bottom from the heatsink casing so the internals are exposed. Can someone please provide instructions?

Thank you!

Hi, any chance someone can tell me if 99764533433 and 99764533422 are the same thing? I have a 997.1 2006 with Bose and no CD changer. The -33 is available online and for a lesser price. Thanks!

Becker would know any differences/compatibility.

Easy to work with.

I used to own a consumer electronics business for many years.... my suggestion is to go aftermarket. Stock or OE electronics this old (06) and a "repair shop" wanting you to rip apart suspected components could cause danger... Just source an aftermarket replacement.

Becker rebuilt my amp and I installed an Alpine head unit (mine was shot).

Happy.
