997 - Rear End corrected!
Ok, this photoshop was done quick so its kinda crappy (hey its late and im tired!), but you get the idea.
Just lowering the lights and adding the tailstrip makes the end not seem nearly as high. I just cant understand what Porsche is thinking in this respect? Why take the tailstrip out after 30 years. It wasnt getting old, it was distinctive.
Heres the photo, and the previous one i posted too. Porsche take notes!!!

If anyone takes the position of producing a new aftermarket bumper based on that design i want in! Invesment opportunity here we go!
HAHA, we can call it the 997 Correction kit! All new owners will immediately be notified upon delivery that their kit is ready to go if they wish and that there was a terrible mistake that somehow got by the factory!
You know, i was observing how Porsche made the panels on this car. WIth some creativeness, the only thing you would need is a rear bumper i bet. We could have it molded up to meet the quaters where the lights would be instead to keep the original seams. This cant be that hard! That lights would replace the whole top running edge! (not quite how i did the photoshop lines...it would work better than what i originally drew...)

Oh, an LED taillight strip would be even better!....... the wheels have started turning...
Does anyone know whyPorsche switched the taillight design in the first place?

i hate to be the voice of dissent, but the rear end and hood make it too 993-esque. the front air inlet changes are nice. i wonder if those are how the 997 turbo inlets are going to look? i do like the hood scoop a lot though, even if it's 993-esque. i was just looking at a pic of a gemballa 650 (996) with a hood scoop and it looked awesome!

and for the record, i think the 993 may be the best-looking 911 ever made (especially the S versions). but that doesn't mean i want all 911s to look like one!
