997.2 S CABRIOLET ENGINE MOUNTS
I just bought the above mentioned car ( 2009) it has a bad left engine mount and would like to change both before driving the car. It appears the stock cabriolet mounts are different part numbers. Reading various threads most of you discuss semi rigid mounts and various manufacturers. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a stock non Porsche mount as I do not want any increased NVH at this time. Will the coupe mount work in the cabriolet??
Thanks Roc

I have a cabriolet
replaced/upgraded a year or so ago.
No differences between coupe/cab for engine or transmission mounts.
I used the function first mounts, a upgrade with minimal NVH change. bunch of posts on this.
You will notice a immediate improvement .

Thanks, for the advise guys. The cabriolet and coupe have diffrent part numbers even though they look alike. Checking my mustang gt this is also the case for coupe and convertible which, leaves me to believe the cabriolet mounts have harder polyurethane compounds due to the cabriolet not having as stiff as a frame as the coupe. It now makes sense. I will go with the Fast First mounts. I like the fact they are stock mounts filled with polyurethane which, makes them slightly stiffer but not much increase in NVH.

What's the PN for the cab version? Thx.
I wonder how much difference there is between the two.

UPDATE
I just received my engine mounts from Function First I observed the part # on them are for the coupe which is 99337504907. My cabriolet calls for part # ending in 08.???? I weighed one of my old mounts which, are the exact dimensions as the new part they weighed 36.95 oz. The new mount weighs 37.80 oz. The new mounts also were filled in with polyurethane around the main bolt which, looked quite professional. I am going to put the new ones in hoping the coupe version filled with .85 oz. Of polyurethane will hold up on my cabriolet.

Licious, the response from Function First:
Hi Rod,
Yes, those are all cross-compatible mounts. The casting changed from early 997 to later 997 variants, and the cabrio has always had the different part number suffix. But structurally and dimensionally (mounting points), they are all identical.
