Default Suspension Options for a 2007 997

Hi - My struts are worn out and I am going to replace the suspension on my 997. I am looking at the Bilstein B12 Pro Kit which lowers it about 1 inch. Is that a good suspension for a weekend driver? Not tracking it, just regular driving.

Any other options recommended?

Thanks!

Yes, it's a great choice as a daily suspension choice and the price is right. Look into new strut mounts and update other small pieces while you're there.

Yep, it's like the B16 without the height adjustment. You'll love it.

Guys: I have a 2005 997.1. Stock suspension with 70K miles. Shocks, sprints and all seems good except a little more leaning than I want on high speed cornering. I track the car a couple times a year and was
thinking of going with the GT3 Sway Bars. Who is a good source for these? Any tricks or comments would be appreciated.. It is a base Carrera Cabriolet with a 6 speed manual. That Bilstein kit looks nice but
will do later.

My 997.2 C2 with the B12 kit, Tarret front and rear mono ball mounts, and a good alignment feels fantastic for a sporty daily driver. Not much harsher than stock but a noticeable improvement in feel and sharpness. Still on stock sway bars too.
I only wish the Eibach springs on the B12 lowered the rear a 1/2” more. The drop in the front is perfect. Sometimes I wish I went with the H&R springs over the Eibach for the more consistent drop but I heard conflicting feedback on the harshness of the H&Rs, so I chickened out and went with the Eibachs.

I just did the B6 struts up front and kept the H&R springs I had on the original struts and the difference is amazing. Was going to go with a B12 kit but got too good of a deal on the B6 to pass. Going to go in for the rears after the holidays.

I went with the B16 and PSS10 coilover kit on my '07 C4 cabrio. Love the adjustability, though I will say setting the dampeners set to anything less than 5 (soft) makes for a somewhat bouncy ride. At the moment I have them set to the stiffest setting in the rear and 5 in the front. Even at the stiffest setting it's very controlled and not jarring (and not as bouncy as at lower settings). The adjustability of the B16 is great as is the adjustability in ride height. At the moment I have it lowered a bit from stock which looks fantastic on my summer 19"s, but might be a bit low for my winter 18"s.

Handling is dramatically improved, though I have yet to track the car on this setup. Since I do not have an S the adjustments are ***** on the top (rear) and bottom (front) of the shocks. I can reach the front adjustments through the wheels, but the rears you need to lift the rear of the cabrio top to access.

Overall very happy with the looks, very happy with the handling, 75% happy with the ride.
