Or here, buy a new one from Suncoast Porsche which is a dealer. They sell just the plug.

This thread is getting comic. Connect it to a 12V source and the heating element will heat up since it was already being pushed in, i.e. complete circuit. Or go to dealer and let them charge you 1 hour labor to get it out.

Pried it up with finger nails - simple, dah, now it resides in its home instead of on my desk.

This actually happened to me too when I tried to remove the cigarette lighter from my old center console into a new leather wrapped one. For some unknown reason, instead of pulling the plug out, my retarded finger found it more appealing to just push it in.
Anyways, after major cursing and tried in vain to disassemble the plug from the plastic housing, I decided to just buy a new one. Then, it occurred to me that instead of pulling the plug out, why don't I just push it out from the small window instead? The edge of the plug can be accessed from inside the window. Voila! 10 seconds later I had my plug out.
